You might want to check out All the Pretty Little Horses or Thunder Perfect Mind for something a little bit more conventional (and better) by Current 93.

NuraberNineDream sent me Morgen - s/t (1969)

I already knew NuraberNine was really into psychedelic rock so I had a sneaking suspicion I'd receive an album along those lines and I was not disappointed being a psychedelic rock fan myself. I've never heard Morgen before so it was nice to hear a new artist in the genre.

Morgen's s/t album is solid from beginning to end. I enjoyed every track and that's a rare experience for me while listening to music. The album is really heavy on the guitar which is always a plus for me especially when the guitarist is obviously a master of his craft.

That pretty much sums it up for me. Morgen's s/t album wasn't a type of music I've never heard before or been a fan of so it wasn't anything new. What it was though was a really good psychedelic rock album a notch above the rest so I definitely recommend it to anyone that hasn't heard it before.

Thanks NuraberNine

I think that's a great idea. It'll also make checking out interesting albums a bit easier for us lazy folk.

Yeah, that's the album art.
Mama Loi, Papa Loi is a favorite of mine as well. Personally I think that the muffled production simply adRAB to the albums mood, especially in Darabala.
Anyways, I'm glad I was able to give you something outside your norm.
I'll post my review of you album soon. =)

Glad you liked this. I saw what you sent me, and that it was gonna be weird, so I figured I might try to out-weird you... This is about as weird as I have though. It's not bad, but I think you won anyway. :)

Yeah, Indie is a pretty terrible and lazy tag label to put on it, agreed. Guess I gotta take the blame for that though.

As far as finding more from them, I'm almost positive this is all they have released atm. If you do find something else out there though, then hook it up. :thurab:

Good review there, glad you enjoyed the album as much as I do. Anyway, I'll probably be getting my review up within the next few days, can't wait to unzip that sucker as you seem to know your music. Cheers!

^ Great to know you're enjoying, and a nice pick of tracks too - the JJ Barnes and Nolan Chance nurabers are some of my favourites off of it too. Can't get enough of the Rufus Lumley, Younghearts and Superlatives songs either.

50:50 chance I'll have a review of your album up by tonight too.

As I've said before, if we end up with an odd nuraber like this, I'll just swap with two of you. Let's try and get a few more in for this one though eh - anyone else who wants in, don't be shy!

Unless anyone has any objections, the theme will be albums that feature your favourite cover artwork. The kinda stuff you wouldn't mind finding under your Christmas tree. Again, officially-released compilations, bootlegs (good sound quality only), EPs and official live albums are allowed as well as the regular-length studio album.

I'll be getting my review up here a bit later - I'm too busy getting a load of the delights that are Steely Dan's Aja to do it now!
