^ I don't listen to the 3 tracks following California Soul much either, but those tracks you mentioned are quite worth the whole album. Specially, that I don't usually enjoy most of the RnB albums in their fullest.
It's an album that puts me in a good mood, and it reminded me of your Northern Soul comp. That's when I remerabered I haven't sent you an album yet :

Well, I got Squeeze's East Side Story from Khfreek. Given Elvis Costello's standings in my lastFM charts, I enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it was anything truly amazing, but more very bright, glossy and unashamed new wave/pop, which I like a bit of every now and then. As I say, I wasn't completely blown away by it, but I imagine it'll grow on me even more. Very good album this - thanks Khfreek

I've heard good things about Emmanuelle down the years myself too, I've just never really been that bothered about going out of my way to watch it, like a lot of other films with big reputations (City Of God's another one that springs to mind).

Edit: Glad you liked the album. I'm not that knowledgeable in Ska, so I had my doubts about you liking it, as I'm not the perfect person to give Ska recommendations.
