Week numbers in Calendar

Hi,

To make my TX really useful I need some calendar upgrades.

Is it possible to get the inborn Palm TX calendar to show week numbers ?
In my view, the perfect calendar program would also be able to figure out repeated activities like my work schedule that repeats itself every ten weeks. If it also could show public holidays for my region/country, then it would be really useful.

Are there anyone out there who has any suggestions regarding calendar program?

The two most popular calendar enhancements for Palm are Agendus by Iambic Software and DateBk by Pimlico Software. Personally I recomend DateBk5 but many Palm users swear by Agendus; you'll have to make your own assesment. DateBk5 will certainly give you week numbers and allow you to schedule all sort of repeating events. In addition it will allow you to assign icons to events, link to your address book and do much else besides.

I've just installed DateBk 5.4a to my Tx. There's obviously a lot of special functions here. But (might be a stupid question) I can't seem to find a DateBK calendar on my pc.

I was previously using my pc to add data into the original Palm calendar via Palm desktop and then hotsync with the tx. I'm still (and always will be) writing a lot faster on a desktop/laptop.
 
DB 5 is strictly a handheld component. However, it uses the Palm Desktop so anything you add to it will hot sync over to the Palm. And if you've set it up correctly on the handheld then the icon's etc will show automatically as well.

I would recommend though that if you play with it on the Handheld and read the manual - you'll discover that both Agendus and DB5 (and 6 is in beta) will be quicker to input by taps then by the desktop, once you are use to it.

I'll spend my DateBk trial period wisely.

I still would have been pleased if Palm would add week numbers to their calendar! Its straight foreward to use, but useless without week numbers.
 
Week numbers are on the native Palm calendar.....just in the week view.

Datebk is the only one I know of that shows them in the month view for easier navigation. I've asked for this in future versions of Agendus but will just have to wait to see if they make it into v11.
 
Ok. Ok.... I overlooked it.

Still I want week numbers in every view...
I'm not to fond of Datebk yet. I'll give Agendus a try..
Anyone who knows of a program with regional public holidays for import into calendars???
