Wedding garden games?

imho games are not appropriate for a wedding. if you were talking about a shower I'd say fine, but not the actual wedding. you don't have to worry about keeping people entertained or amused, that takes focus away from the bride and groom. you can have music and dancing if you want but that's the extent of the 'entertainment' you should provide. it's enough if you just provide a meal, drinks and cake for them and by that I don't mean you have to have open bar, cash bar is perfectly acceptable.

It's going to be a very old english style wedding, so i think we're going to have croquet and well (French) cricket, has anyone got any other ideas? It's not going to be really serious games just something to keep everyone amused and having an enjoyable day, there's going to be about 50 of us but some will not want to join in (we have quite a few elderly relatives) so there are tables around the gardens where they can relax with a drink and have a bit of peace if they want to.
