whats that website URL again for the site that shows you quality of diff. movie releases?


in my mind I see "rslog, releaselog" or something like that.

The http://www.vcdquality.com is the only site listed that 'attempts' to do it, although of course they rely on users feedback, and that can be very variable; you have to read the comments.

I hadn't looked at that site for awhile, but I tried 'plugging in' a few of the d/l's from the last month, that I either got of ng headers or from listings here (or usually both!), and nada on any listing on the vcdquality site.

There used to be a couple of sites years ago that would list the actual 'base size' of the dvd's, and recoded size, and the % of the result and other information, but they are gone to dust. Even 'release' groups like 'Replica' most of the time don't list any quality numbers in their nfo's anymore.

That's why I avoid them like the plague, unless they have something that I really want. It's simply far easier to do the recode job myself, or, with the price of DVD9's, burn that.

The era of dvd's that look like poor vhs copies is over. Except for those who like that.

or else their releases would be nuked. If it's a group I trust and they list just bitrate, I could guess the # of passes or vice versa.
