Webcomics you'd love to see animated.

Oh, I can understand that. For example, I prefer dubs, but if by chance I watch a fansub or play a game that uses Japanese voiceovers, it can be pretty jarring for me to hear an English dub even if it's a good one.

To be a bit more kind, I find the CGI kinda uneven. The characters from the real world all look about right, and in some ways I find they have more charm than the Dreamland cast. The fairy, for example (sorry, I don't recall her name), looks outright hideous despite being what I assume was a whimsical character. From what I understand of the plot (I should take the time now to point out I only read the first few chapter and bits and pieces of later parts), the drastic difference between the elf as a child and as and adult is intentional, but I don't see why all the charm of the child version's design was lost while the main character looks like a reasonable age-up from his appearance in the opening flashback.

I really wanted to like the comic, but the art was strangely off-putting to me.

Never read Sinfest; and I thought Gene Catlow had great design but was too much like a soap opera, not my cup of tea. I agree with you on TriggerStar though. and speaking of adult-themed webcomics, Bear Nuts would be another great candidate for animation. I love it's character-based humor.
