We have to make a 3d model for a class project. What should I use?

As a side note, the model is not on computer, we have to use materials like clay or wire... I just need suggestions.

Depends on what you're modelling.

A structure can be made of cardboard, plastic (styrene) sheets ((visit you local hobby store or find online)), or thin plywood.
You can draw templates on your computer in Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw.

If you are making a model of an environment, build the structure from styrofoam (be careful cutting and shaping it as it makes a lot of waste which will get everywhere - have a vaccuum cleaner standing by) and then cover that with plaster (spackle).
You can paint it with water based paints.
Plants can be made from twigs, moss and lichen from the garden - zap these in a microwave (old!) to kill any bugs.
Glue the plants with PVA or white glue.

What are you making? You need different materials for different projects... I once made an outsize chistmas pudding from chicken wire and papier mache for a school production. It needed to be light weight as it had to be carried on and off stage by one person only, it needed to be big and noticeable. Plaster would have made it too heavy - like the 'stone ball' from Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Arc! You need to consider what you need to make before you decide the materials...
