We have to do a culture traits project.?

In History where we pick our heritage country and say what our personality traits from that culture are[aka hardcore stereotype ourselves]. Honestly, i don't even want to do it. I don't think a teacher should make us define ourselves, based on made up stereotypes that really arn't even true. Most people are not really like what their "stereotype" is. I'm Irish and yes i fit the Red hair Green Eyes pale skin thing. BUT there are plenty of Irish people that have dark hair and dark eyes.
 
Stereotypes are not "made up" they are generalisations you said it your self, you fit the stereotype for Irish..it`s only recently that more "types" have been added to the Isish gene pool that there are n ot the same %qge of Red hair/green eye as there used to be

All Zulus are Black....but not all blacks are Zulu`s

The English as a nation, are arrogant (they think everybody should speak English)......

The French are Ignorant,and smell of Garlic (so do Italians)

Germans are arrogant and ignorant when abroad (towels on sun beds etc.)

Australians are un-cultured and only interested in sport
All generalisations all true of the "Majority" of each country`s peoples
