We have a problem with our car?

Okay, we just recently bought a car from a mechanic, and we have some problems, we just had an interlock installed aswell.

When we drive the car (it's automatic) if I accelerate, the car won't go, it'll just stall (or if it happens whiling driving, and I put my accelerator to the ground it'll only go to 30kms.)

We took it back to the place we got it from and they replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, cleaned carburetor like 4 times, etc...

Plus, I've checked everything heaps of times, the battery keeps going flat (I suspected the Guardian Interlock doing this) I'm really suspicious of it... we're sure the alternator is working and we've got new wires and terminals for the battery, it's just seems like the interlock is doing it, we're on our 3rd new battery in 3 weeks, then the interlock said "Battery Fault" so I'm unsure.

i had the same problem couple of weeks ago....turned out it was the catalytic converter clogged up...

its possibly many things, check for air leaks in pipes and around the manifold. How does the car idle? if its lumpy its probably air leak if its smooth and does not change when drive is selected carb fault try changing the jets or at least check them for size. (they get larger with age)

If it is the vacuum leak the RPM gauge will move when the car is idling! Now if the fuel pump and the filter and everything is cleaned already, i can recommend to check the spark plugs and the lids or the distributor as well........and if every thing keep going on....you have to go from the basic, i.e you need to check the timing if it is advance or retire..........and about the battery problem, I reccon some of the wire is taking earth from somewhere......
