rods, and carborator, all replaced. ? It runs great until you put it into gear and drive it, then it keeps dying, over and over. Does anyone have an idea why? Or a clue? We can't figure it out. Thanks
We've messed with the timing, it seems right. We start it and it runs great, but as soon as you start driving it stalls. Can anyone help? Thanks

I agree, sounds like the vaccuum advance on the distributor,
to check unhook the hose at the carb that goes to the dist.
and suck on the line and put your tongue on it if it keeps
vaccuum it is good if you suck and it won,t get any at all
it is bad.

Never heard of a 307 in a GM van, Should be a 305. Is the carb set correctly? as the other person said , check the timing. Could be a vacuum leak ( carb- intake - cracked or missing hose) , weak coil /ign module ,egr sticking open.
Btw: messing with the timing with out a timing light does not mean it will "seem" right
