a trade in.? How can that be? We have been paying on it for 3 years? have they lost that much equity or are they playing with us? HOw can we get rid of it....
 
Used cars have 3 main values, trade in, private party sale and dealer retail. As normal, dealer retail is the higher of the prices. Trade in value the lowest. There is usually a huge difference between trade in value and Dealer retail. My car has a trade in value of $350 with a dealer retail of $2500.
