...vehicle, good or bad?
I am interested in buying a 2007 or 2008, fold down seats for sure, transmission problems? anything else?

I think your choice for a Dodge Grand Caravan is an excellent choice.
I've wanted to get a Dodge Caravan minivan for long time. I think it's much more versitile than having pickup truck.
It's true that Dodge created the whole minivan theme. I think the Dodge Caravans are also the most human-engineered of most of them available. I especially love the dash, which is incredibly important to me. The delay wiper timer is also extremely good. Many delays are only 10 seconds, but I think Caravans go as long as 30 seconds, which when you're living in the desert and you barely get sprinkles from rain clouds, it's very irritating to have dry wipes every ten seconds when there's nothing on the window, and yet 30 second wipes are just perfect.

Good minivan, good room, good performance. it may be a dying breed, but minivans are quite good if you take care of them well enough.....no 4-wheeling, you know!!

I just got an 08 used grand caravan se with 18040 miles on it and it was only 12995 and the only problem is it has no power side mirrors but it drives really smoothly and when you are going to buy one get an sxt cause an sxt means its fully equipped.

Pro's: Great all around function vehicle. Stow n' Go is a great feature and the seats rarely get stuck (keep the kids stuff away fro the frame, its easy to get stuff wedged in between) Very reliable mechanically. If possible get the 3.8L engine, you won't save any gas with the 3.3L. Con's: Watch out for rental minivans (especially from Florida, they tend to be more abused in Florida). Some have problems with the window regulator cables breaking.
