The outer reaches of Hurricane Sandy have arrived in Massachusetts, but the more damaging wind and rain is still not expected until about 10 a.m. today, officials said this morning.
Sandy remains a Category 1 hurricane this morning, said Alan Dunham, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Taunton. As of 5 a.m. today, it had not yet made landfall in the New York/New Jersey area.
