Wav2Midi

I've read that its just a simple conversion. Midi's are based on a set of instructions for a synthesizer. Because of that, software is not capable of interpretting an mp3 or wav and writing those complex instructions (which include instrument, timing, key...).

Hi,

I experimented with Wav2Midi from musebook. Its not practical. wavs/mp3's are not instruction based. the software tries to match the sounds of instruments (based on frequency) to instruments on the midi-table. the results are pretty wierd as songs are pretty complex with unpredictable bpm and unique instrument sounds.

THEN you have to anyway convert the midi format for phone compatibility and it sounds like crap. A demo of Wav2Midi is available on the net, you mileage may vary!

Cheers.
