Waterloo remake by 2015...

I am a big fan of the 1970 film Waterloo. Epic battle scenes filmed in an era that couldn't imagine using CGI like in Return of the King. What we need is someone to film a remake fitting for the 200th anniversary in the summer of 2015. Does anyone know Ridley Scotts phone number / email address.....?

A 'remake' (I'll wash my mouth out later :D) with tighter editing/continuity, somewhat better dubbing :D, a good car chase and as little CGI as possible would be welcome.

I doubtful it'll ever happen though. There's no way the Americans could claim they'd won the battle.

Speaking of that era, I'd have loved to have seen a film made about Nelson in 2005. It must have had some potential. Romance, daring, big battles, bashing the French and the hero dies at the end.

do the worRAB PEARL HARBOR mean anything to you? :D

if anything, the whole napes/lady ham fluff would be perfect to sandwich between massive battle scenes .....

GET MICHAEL BAY ON THE PHONE STAT!!!!

Ha.....I totally agree that the US film industry would need to satisfy the ignorance of the US public with, for example, General Custers father advising the Duke of Wellington on strategy however Ridley Scott did manage to make Gladiator without too much US interference... :D That said if the US studios were blagged that it was a sequal to Mama Mia we might just get away with it..... :D PS, totally agree that the acting, with the exception of Rod Stieger, was totally wooden, however this is completely forgiveable given the choreography of the battle scenes and the costumes etc :)

Not really, quite the opposite. I have been to the USA three times and the people I have met have been very nice (though most of them would be as they were in the service industry and were being paid to be so :D) I have even researched emigrating there. Have you heard of the film U-571 Have you noticed how British actors (eg Hugh Laurie / Michelle Ryan) have been hired by studios though trained to talk with an American accent to help win over the native audience....?
