Okay I have questions.. My life was fine until my folks got me two fish ponds for my back yard. They thought they where doing me a favor by helping me make my yard more interesting. I don't know anyone who owns any and I know pumps and filters are not cheap. I need advice. I have one small 50 gallon tub that I'm guessing is good for gold fish. "JUST THE TUB" nothing included. And they gave me a 500 gallon liner that I made 3 feet hole for hoping to have a coy fish. But that seems to have a leek some ware in it when we tried to fill it. That liner came as a kit with a pump and filter.
I'm going crazy. Some say that 3 feet is not deep enough for coy others say it is. And the liner I have is a 10 X 12 with a seam going down the middle. I made the shape of the pond hole to be a 4 foot round. It makes the liner a bit wrinkly being that shape.
The tub is in the ground and I made it all pretty with the mulch and plastic floating lily pads. All it needs is the fish. But again.. No filter or pump. I checked around and the kits are $100.00. Can't see spending that much money on something so small that I got for free in the first place.
