Watchmen (2009)

Awesome! :yay: I can't wait to watch it again.

This movie could be great on DVD when people know what to expect and are able to enjoy what the movie offers instead of getting "blindsided" but what it really is.

Rorschach and Dan worked amazing together, their personalities allowed the argument to be dynamic and tense, but it still came from the same place inside them, of their core belief that the world was wrong and something had to be done.

^^ Hee, that makes me so happy! :yay:

Word, word and word. I loved all of them so much, each of their performances were astounding! Especially JDM and JEH :thud:

I saw the movie again on Friday and loved it just as much as I did the first time round. I seriously love how much attention-to-detail there was, and the visuals still leave me stunned! The slow-motion camerawork is AWESOME.

From the trailers I can tell it's going to be graphic, which makes sense since it's based on a graphic novel. But I wonder how much they will show when it comes to sex and violence.

I watched this movie tonight and I'm absolutely FASCINATED. It was amazing, the dialogues were wonderful, the action was great, and the acting was fantastic. I went knowing pretty much nothing about Watchmen, and with no expectations at all, and I left completely amazed. One of the best movies I've seen lately, for sure

It's so ridiculous. FOX didn't make the movie, Warner did. I don't know if FOX has any rights over it, but Warner actually made the damn thing. I want to see it so bad. March is long enough to wait, they better not delay it!!

Well said. I loved 300's look. So rough and stunning, the man has a great feel for textured looks and I *love* it.

I think Watchmen will leave me looking like this -> Hehe. I can't wait.

Aaw, poor Zack Snyder! *hugs him* Aside from the trailer just looking absolutely epic, he was one of the main reasons I was looking forward to this. I LOVE what he did with 300, I thought the film adaptation was just innovative in the whole "graphic-novel-to-film" genre, and just overall brilliant. So I had (have) faith that he'll have done a similarly excellent job with this.

This movie looks really good!!! I can't wait to see it! :D

I have heard that the comic is really good though I have never actually read Watchmen myself. I'm thinking I should check it out at some point.

A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society

From EW.com

Though Warner Bros.' Watchmen movie (out March 6, 2009) is still very much a work in progress, DC Direct has put the finishing touches on its collector-edition tie-ins, which are modeled after the characters from director Zack Snyder's film. The company will unveil four of these action-figure prototypes at New York Comic-Con on Friday, April 18, but EW has your exclusive peek at two of them — steadfast vigilante Rorschach and nice-guy superhero Nite Owl — which will hit stores in January 2009 at around $14.99. — Nisha Gopalan

I hate to bring this bad news, but guess you guys have not heard, The Watchmen may not get released in theaters due to a lawsuit by Fox against the WB, really sucks Fox waits so late to claim rights, this film deserves to be in theaters hope this power struggle by the 2 networks gets resolved so the film will be released as planned.

Reelz channel had a ComicCon special and the little bits of Watchmen looked incredible. The director was so excited about the movie, he's been working on it for 3 years now.

This better be released.
