Watch out, Alvin fans - here come the Chipettes

I don't get the point of casting celebrities as the Chipmunks or the Chipettes. Their voices are sped up to the point where they're unrecognizeable anyway - it proves that the studio is casting based on star power, not acting ability.

Well depending on how the first movie ended, I highly doubt that, since Ian aka, the jerk of an executive that forced the chipmunks into exhaustion...

was looking for something to replace them and it is imply that he found something similar to them, aka the Chippettes.

What in high holy heaven is rule 34?

Anyway, I don't think they look too bad. Maybe a little awkward, but I'm going to wait until I see the girls in motion. Honestly, we knew they'd be a little tougher to adapt because the old Chipettes didn't look so much like chipmunks as little girls with animal nose.

Sorry, but I'm not even convinced that's the case. The CGI chipmunks and chipettes are nowhere near as cute as the 2D ones. The CGI flushed so much cuteness down the toilet it's practically clogged up.

Aw, I don't think it's that bad.

I mean, calling it "The Squeakquel" sounds stupid and Eleanor's face kind of scares me but really, it's probably gonna be the same as the first film which was in essence a cute kids movie....

Yeah, I'm probably gonna go see this.

Yes, yes the film will hypnotize you into wanting to kill some one. Won't some one please think of the childeren? HAHA Simpsons quote :p

The way I see it, the visual / vocal / mannerismal concept of Miss Miller is unique, because of who enacted her, and her enactress is, in my proud opinion, inimitable in this day/age. And I'm one of very, very few TZers who can recall any live action role that this woman had.

Who the hell am I talking of?
Here's who the hell I'm talking of:

I think the Chipette designs are cute. I see nothing wrong with them. I also don't mind them being in a new movie as they have become an integral part of the Chipmunk mythos. This is aimed at kids, and I'm sure they will love them as much as they loved the 3-D Chipmunks. I think those who find "horror" in this are either worried that the 3-D versions encroach on their beloved 2-D models, are just perverts who get off on making veiled remarks that only the "enlighted" get.
