wat kind of engine is in a 1997 honda accord lx?

im a 17 yer old kid an ive done my reserch an ive relized i dnt have the monny 2 drop a 6 thousand dollar k series engine in my 1997 accord so i wana fiquer out wat type of f22 i have in my car wich has original 293 thousand miles on it. becuz i wana get a rebuild kit an take care of it a lil better....sry about the spellin im in a hurry an i have a hard time typn in txt
 
Ummm u just answered ur own question. there should b more letters an numbers after f22.....like f22a1 for example
 
well they have two engine a non vtec engine and a vtec engine both on 4 cylinder and V6. so its better to go ask your nearest Honda dealer or a certified mechanic to tell you about your engine size but for my experience the 4cylinder is 2.2 and the V6 is 2.7. HOPE THIS HELP. GOOD LUCK.
