i have had to ask this question twice and no1 can give me the right answer they keep saying gouramis and guppies, i have 3 corys and 1 betta in a 10 gallon tank. i CANT get tetras because tetras can get the neon tetra disease which will kill the filter and everything so is impossible for me to keep tetras with them. + neon TETRA disease has no cure and then i just have to throw the tank away.

Most community fish are very compatible with bettas but every now and then there is a betta that wants to make all fish's life a living Bleep! lol but yeah just try to stay away from other antaboids like gouramis. also fish with long fins like guppies you should stay away from too. Hope this helps!

Neon tetra disease only affects neon tetras. Thats why its called that. Just go ahead and get some neons. Ive kept gouramis and other tetras in tanks with neons when they had the disease and died. And the rest of them lived. Its not really that big of a problem anyways.

Gouramis and guppies are generally NOT compatible with bettas.

My beta ate everything........had to put him in a smaller tank so my mollies and tetras had a chance.

This isn't a fish but I heard african dwarf frogs go good with Betta's. But any fish that doesn't have big color full fins or is not a fin nipper can live with a betta.

Golden rule with Betta's, they don't go with fish that look like Betta or behave like Betta, so that rules out Gourami and male Guppies. They also get eaten alive by anything that fin nips.

No point in debating Neon Tetra disease, if you don't want them don't get them. There is no such thing as Glowlight Tetra disease, so I suggest you try them :o)
