washing my dry denim jeans?

So today i fell into a creek while wearing my dry denim nudie jeans and got them completely soaked through with water and dirt. ive been wearing them almost every day since may so i doubt it has been faded very well. but unfortunately after getting them so dirty i have no choice but to wash them. i hear you can dr clean them too, which removes the dirt but doesn't affect the indigo color.

my question is if i dry clean them can i continue with the fading process as if nothing happened? or will it just not fade anymore? do you think i should just wash them at home the regular way turning them inside out etc.? thanks!
