Was this a goof in Transformers?

I always thought it was a Optimus-specific thing to destroy the allspark... guess i never thought of it that way.

Still... lots of holes in the movie... not that it matters, it was still great.
 
i havent seen one. think megatron combined with an X-wing from star wars though. And megatron's arms turned into a big gun, that was the closest you'll get.

also, autobots DO fly. there was silverbolt, and a few others. silverbolt was concorde jet if i remember.
 
This is correct. Megatron was a spacecraft in the original cartoon before becoming a gun.

In the beginning the autobots couldn't fly also.

In the later series, Megatron is a huge badass and prime is smaller. I guess they followed that in the movie. However, Prime did rip that bulldozer dude's head off
