I am not being funny or non religious so please answer my question seriously. I wonder if the snake was a symbolism or if it really happened,how can we know. In reality,we know that a snake cannot talk. We talk about an apple when we don't know what kind of fruit it was. So maybe the snake was not real either. I started reading gen. 1 which i have read a lot. It seems I can get no further this time and it really bothers me. So I thought maybe someone had heard an answer from God. This may be the wrong category for this question but I just need an answer. Thank you.
