Was the judge's decision "just" or "insane"?

My grandfather robbed a bank in the 50's. He was caught and arrested. In court, the judge sentenced him to torture for the rest of his life. Not only that, all of his descendants including myself will also be subject to torture for the rest of our lives because of my grandfather's crime.

The judge offered to supply a lawyer for us that could get us out of our dilemma if we simply ask. Many people have praised him for providing us with a way out. Others are amazed at how ridiculous the judge's decision was.

Was the judge's decision just or insane?

Torture, wow, Guantanamo Bay ? Or was he `rendered` to another country so that the newly elected President can get his foreign chums to do it without breaking any of his promises ?

Subject to torture for the rest of your life what country do you live in.
Yes the judge was wright to give you a way out this affects your human rights unless you live in a country which has no human rights.
