Was the Gears of War Pendulum Wars novel released?

Ok so this may be a stupid question but I recently stumbled across a book called Gears of War: The Pendulum Wars. It was supposed to be written by Steven L Kent. However I can't seem to find it anywhere. Was Steven dropped and replaced with Karen Traviss to write the trilogy?
