I parked in a McDonalds parking lot, and we went to a restaurant next door. We came back to Mcdonalds, bought some sandwiches for the homeless people and when we came back, my car was getting towed. My friend's school stuff was in the car, and they wouldn't even let her get her things. They told me they had a video that I left the property. Ok, I never denied that I left the property, but they took it with a personal camera, and showed it to McDonald's employees, without my consent.
I called the people at the towing company, and obviously I was a little pissed off, so the chick there ended up hanging up on me.
When my friend came to pick me up, I went to McDonald's and asked them to re-print my receipt. They told me that they couldn't do that, but I worked in fast food for 3 years, so I know that they could print a receipt out if they really wanted too.
I called the police and one of them went into McDonald's and asked for my receipt, but even he couldn't get it. Both of the police officers thought that what the towing company was doing was bull and even joked around and said that they better get out of there before they get towed. But they couldn't do anything about it, so I ended up paying $103.
So, I'm just wondering if you think what happened was crap.
1) The fact that the video was taken with a PERSONAL camera and showed to other people without my consent. If it was a security camera, it would've been a totally different story.
2) I WAS a customer at McDonald's
3) I didn't get the receipt that I asked for, and the manager more than likely just didn't want trouble, so he said that he couldn't print it out.
4) The towing people were sitting in the corner for about 5 hours, and they ended up towing like 14 cars.
What do you think?
