Was I right to stop talking to my best friend to get over her?

So I have been friends with this girl for almost 4 years now and I have been in love with her since the start. However, she never ever gave me a chance, she would just say maybe in the future and that's what kept me going. But now we have matured alot (high school) and have very different opinions and beliefs. To me this is not a problem, but to her it is, and she thinks we will never work out romantically. So I told her straight up that I don't think I can be her friend without feelings. So then I just told her we should stop talking, and that was that. Now it has been a few days and I am questioning whether it was the right thing to do....I really miss her..I really want to call her and talk to her.....What do you think?

Do you think the "if you let something go" quote applies here?
 
Sounds like shes just not interested in u? Ask her straight up If she says yes then Yay for u & if no Forget about her
as for the quote It could dpends on how u look at it
