Was he really joking?

Well, In maths class, a guy who sits infront of me started complimented my work and asked me if i help him with it. And the girl who sits on the right suddenly said 'Hey, you should go out with her' And he said 'yeah, do you wanna go out?' I didn't know if he was joking so I ignored him, after a while he said 'you know im joking, right?' Then i said 'Errr yeah.' :S

Thats a tough one... It depends what he is like and how he said it.

he could have been serious and when you didnt say anything he said that to make it better.

Or he might have just been saying it jokinly and just had to make sure you werent taking him seriously... Tough one.
