Was Anyone Else Slightly Irritated by New Moon?

I mean, it's a good book and everything, but the whole time I was going, 'Honestly! This is supposed to be a *vampire romance*! Not a book about stupid lip rapist Jacob Black!' Also, Bella is very dense and I don't like how she's always in need of rescuing by someone. Jeez, whatever happened to Girl Power?
Did anyone else feel this way?

Also, despite all this, the Twilight Saga are still my favourite books.

Yes, I feel exactly the same way. I read New Moon only once, because Jacob really started to piss me off and the way Bella broke down was pretty pathetic. She WAS extremely dense for the duration of the book. I CAN'T believe she actually believe Edward so quickly when he said he didn't care about her. I mean, can anyone else say gullible?
 
when i was reading it, i got to the point where i kept skipping ahead a few pages to see when she hears edward's voice so i'd know how much longer i'd have to wait until i could experience some edwardness.
jacob is ok. i mean, i like that he was her friend and helped her and all but i absolutely HATE that stephenie made them fall in love!!! this series was supposed to be about EDWARD and bella- not JACOB and bella!!!

man, i used to love the name jacob. now? not so sure! lol.
i liked jacob when he and bella were JUST FRIENDS!!!!!! ugh i think jacob was like a rebound guy or something.
i'm ranting here, i'm sorry!
i'll stop now! lol
 
Oh my God!!! Yes!! Exactly! Thats what I have been saying all along. New Moon is my least favorite. Jacob Black is a nice guy but he's not my edward! I think Bella should have been tougher, stronger. I felt so annoyed on how practically the whole book was about Jacob.

But I love The twilight series

Edward and Bella are ment to be. Jacob just doesn't understand and won't leave well enough alone. I'm glad Edward came back tho ^^. The Twilight series are my favorite books! But, New Moon is my least favorite in the series.
 
They're my favorite books too. And the thing I didn't much care for anout New Moon was that it was like all about Jacob! As i turned each page I kept waiting to hear about Edward. Thats why I love the books, because of Edward and Bella's romance. I dont want to hear about her falling in love with Jacob!
