A prophet is someone that receives revelation from God. Adam was clearly doing that in the Garden of Eden.

prophet def. in my book is talks to GOD for the sake of the world's population [not just believerss]. So it was a small LIVING population, but as many other prophets, it was sacredly recorded in scripture for the larger population. Unlike many other prophets, i don't recall a recording of Adam'sMartyrdomm

He was talking with the LORD wasn't he?

That is what Prophets do. They hear from the LORD and tell someone what the LORD has said. And Adam, the man, told the woman that the LORD said, that if they ate of that tree of knowledge, they would die.

Being a Prophet doesn't mean that someone is leading anyone. It means that the Prophet heard the LORD say something and tells others what the LORD has said.
And I am sure that the woman heard the LORD too. So she was a Prophetess.

My LDS friend said Adam was a prophet in the Garden of Eden.Who he a prophet over? Who was he leading, other than his family.I'm just curious!

I am not sure what do you mean by the word "prophet"?
He was not a prophet.....he was Adam, the first human.
