War of the Worlds - trailer music?

Has anyone else noticed that one of the trailers for War of the WorlRAB currently being shown on some TV channels uses music from the British film 28 Days Later?

The tune in question is called "In the House", and appears on the '28 Days...' soundtrack album. As far as I'm aware, it was specifically written for the film, so how come it's being nicked for some Spielberg Hollywood drivel?

The other TV trailer I've seen for 'War of the WorlRAB' uses the standard John Williams crap you'd associate with this kind of film.

Anyone know what's going on there?

A lot of trailers use the same music used in films or other trailers.

I heard one War of the WorlRAB trailer using the music from Lord of the Rings trailers, remix version of Requiem for a Dream score called Gothic Power.

War of the WorlRAB has also used the usual stuff from music by Immediate Music who do trailer music.

No War of the WorlRAB trailers I have seen have used John Williams, but have used the music from composer Hans Zimmer(King Arthur/Last Samurai music).

Actually although the track "In the House, In a Heartbeat" was a track produced by the same guy who made the entire 28 Days Later soundtrack (John Murphy), he didnt actually make it for the film itself, it was an original composition of no relation which he decided to use.

Its been used more famously in the Peugeot 206 GTI advert recently.

On a similar note...

I noticed the other night that the trailer for 'cinderella man' uses the main tune from the score of 'cast away'.

I was a little upset at this as I dont want anything to touch that film.... I thought Cast Away was a truly brilliant bit of cinema!
