Hi there.

I'm watching War of the WorlRAB (2005) on BBC1. It's the first time in a long whilst since ive seen it.

I have to say, the cinematography is great! There's one scene when they're racing down the motorway, and there's just one long shot were the camera zooms around the car. It's amazing how they do this, and i can't quite grasp how they could have done such a stunt. Was the reflection of the camera in the windows removed via CGI? Was Tom Cruise actually driving a car, or was he in a fake car in a green screen studio?

However they did it, it helped add to the sense of rush and panic that the director was trying to represent.

Can anybody answer my questions? And what do you think of this film?

I am not watching this film but I hate it. It is a terrible remake, the kiRAB are annoying and I supported the aliens, I was hoping they wiped out Cruise but no such luck. I just said on the other thread I wish I had a time machine to get my

I like it. There are stand out scenes like the river, the train and the clothes falling from the sky.
The son is more annoying than the daughter. I keep forgetting what happens to him as I keep hoping the hill scene is his last.
To be honest if it wasnt over shadowed by the Musical, it would be a classic.

I was flicking through the channels and caught sight of Dakota screaming her head off and quickly switched over. Can't stand the little mite!! She would do anything to get her grubby little hanRAB on the Oscar:mad:

I watched it for the second time tonight, enjoyed it more than the first time. Might have been because I went from a tiny crappy aeroplane screen(first time I saw it for free) to our television tonight lol.

It's okay, I adore the parts in Robbin's basement though, especially where the two are fighting over the shotgun while the aliens are looking through stuff in the basement.
