WAP Menus on Verizon LG phones

Ok, so I tried searching for this everywhere and I couldn't really find MUCH information on it. But my question is, is there a way to change the Wap menu settings, like when I go to "Search" or "Go To URL" I would like it to send me to the stuff it normally would on a actual cricket phone instead of the default verizon settings that they add on their phones now.

I hope you guys know what I'm talking about, I always have a terrible time explaining myself.

But to go further on, I found something from humpa.com/vzw and it was an edited paramtable1.fil file for the Chocolate 2, and when I uploaded it to my chocolate it seemed to work normally, except for the bookmarks.

So yeah, anyways, I hope you guys understand what I'm asking help about, if not I'm sorry, I'll try and articulate it more clearly

yeah you have to edit the paramtable1.fil and you can make those options take you to any site you want. it's easy to spot which one is which in the file with a hex editor like xv132 (my favorite). I set the goto to google.com/gwt/n and the search to google.com. I also edit the email one to yahoo's mobile sign in page, and it works when you go to email in the messaging menu.

This is also possible with the Samsung U740 (i think the file is prefs.j). But beware. I messed around with the same file in a Samsung a970 and bricked it.

alright so i looked thru the paramtable1.fil to see if i couldn't find out what to change on my own and I did find it. But now for some reason whenever I click on "Go to URL" or "Search" I get an 404 not found error. Any ideas on why that's happening?

There is a pre-modified paramtable1.fil attached at the end of my tutorial that is Cricket-ready. Use it. It has Cricket WAP-friendly bookmarks baked into it and allows editing of WAP settings on the phone as well.

Alright! You rock dude, thanks.

But I do got a question about the bookmarks. In order to use it do I have to log in every time or is there a way it'll automatically just let me add favorites and bypass the login?

I'm not sure quite what you mean by this. Verizon's GUI has several bookmarks built-it that and I changed what locations they referenced.

I think the browser in the enV allows you to add bookmarks from its menu, although I'm not 100% sure of this.

The best bet for you is to go ahead and open my parabtable1.fil in a hex editor and see/make changes for yourself.
