I have some questions so if anyone knows the answers please email or post

1. I have a motorola v60 formerly qwest flashed to cricket nam 1 and verizon nam 2. I wanted to first enable wap and evdo for my home network of the phoenix market. How do I do this as far as fixing the browser settings which the phone does have a browser.

2. Once I get evdo going I wanted to tether the phone to my laptop so I can have evdo on my laptop. How do you get to be a trial evdo user from cricket?

3. I want to know how to enable this flashed phone to be able to roam to talk on my monthly 200 minutes from the 60 plan.

Next question:

Kyocera Candid -- this is a native cricket phone. How can I enable evdo on it and/or tether it to my laptop for evdo internet access

As said by heath. The V60 and Candid do not have the proper internal electronics to support EvDo meaning you will have to purchase a new phone which supports EvDo. Using the internet on the V60 is a bad idea by itself due to it being a black and white screen and the processor inside isn't going to render any normal webpage very well. The other thing is that you'll be on your own for tethering. It will not work on that old of a phone (the V60) and it will not work for the Candid as its a Cricket Native phone which doesn't support Tethering. So for EvDo your going to need to purchase 2 new hanRABets, Find someone who will give you the EvDo PRL for the Phoenix Market. Do understand that if you use this too much your account will be suspended. This isn't "OH LOOK! Its free! I'm going to use as much as i want of it on my laptop!"

LOL. I'm a Moto fan and even I'll admit that the 60 kajillion versions of the V60 was just plain stupid. I think your referring to the "V60c or V60 Color" which was GSM.

update: my v60 has prl 1419, not 1040
Tested out by leaving cricket area and after switching from automatic network a to automatic network b under phone settings >> other settings >> network
roaming now works except I cannot make an outgoing call with my nuraber blocked by *67

However, one thing does not work

So, the other thing I was wondering is how do you keep track of your 200 minutes? And does calling 611 when roaming count as minutes of roaming? And, has anyone seen any cool recycled phones at their local kinko's and is it open season on these phones as the people have thrown them out? Do you bribe the kinko's guy to look the other way if you find a good one a lot of then were better than my v60...

Its your responsibility to make sure that you keep track of your 200 minutes. On the Kinko's thing, No. Just buy a phone. Many of them don't work and if you take them you are technically stealing from Kinko's as the phone's become the Property of Kinko's. Many times they are old phone's that wouldn't be much better than your V60, And your going to play a guessing game as if they are GSM or CDMA. I would just throw down 50.00-100.00 for a phone.

it should tell you how many minutes you have left at the beginning of the call. "thank you for using cricket you have xx minutes to complete this call" or something like that.
when you are roaming i beleive you need to call 1800cricket. 611 will connect you too the local roaming provider's customer care.

1419 does not sound like a cricket roaming prl, but i could be wrong..
