Wanting to be an Art Major?

My idea is I will get my Masters Degree from Ohio State in Art (Painting & Sketching). Then teach art at a high school or something and deal and make art on the side and live somewhere in New Jersey... like try to network in Philly, NYC, maybe DC.... do any artists have any thoughts about this?

I like to sketch and I'm really good. I love contemporary art.

Any feedback is helpful. :D
and then hopefully if my art sells then i will pursue it full time.

how can i get my stuff in museums and make contacts w/in the art community?
 
I can only imagine that in college they would elaborate on these things. I am also a big fan of art. I sketch and lately I have been painting. You should try to go to as many art shows as possible and meet other artists and people who can help get your work out there.
