Seconded. Good to see a film that is both plausible and frightening.

Set in Sheffield, 1984, leading up to- and the years after a nuclear war.

The Omen (best horror ever)
Carrie (Best ending ever)
Evil Dead (gory)
The Hills Have Eyes
Night Of The Demon (the one with the "swinging intestines" now very hard to find)
Halloween (music freaks me out  )

The Exorcist (saw it again last night and it still scared me

I'm ashamed to admit it, but Blair Witch. I think fear is a personal thing and this movie really played on mine. It's a film i own on DVD, but haven't ever actually watched it again lol

I remember Demons 2 freaking me out when I was younger, but i've not seen that in a good 10 years, so can't really comment.

Nightmare on Elm St 1 is good, Scream is fun too.

I liked The shining - but it doesn't scare me, nor does The Exorcist.

I would love to find a decent Ghost movie though. Perhaps to watch in the day time - in summer, with lots of people....lol

Oh, christ. It's that film we're watching in our MoRAB class. The one about Sheffield having a nuclear bomb dropped on it?

Yeah, we're watching it and it was well, sane until the bomb was dropped and now it's this woman going around seeing random people holding dead babies.

And also burning bodies and all of that. It's pretty horrible.

If you really want to be frightened and "affected" Try the BBc drama "ThreaRAB" it was made in 1984 but still made me shudder when I watched it tonight.

When i first saw it i was like, oh this is going no-where and i didn't really get the storyline then she did THAT!!!! and i still didnt get the ending
