I noticed that there isnt a thread yet for this film which I really want to see as I loved the graphic novel:

"Terence Stamp has joined the cast of Universal's Wanted, directed by Timur Bekmambetov. Stamp joins James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie in the big screen adaptation of Mark Millar's graphic novel series.Based on Mark Millar's graphic novel, the story centers on a white-collar worker who discovers he's the son of a supervillain -- then inherits evil powers when his father is killed.

The movie is scheduled for a March 28, 2008 release."

I just hope they do the graphic novel justice in this film!

It looks like we will get to see the first trailer for Wanted soon according to Superherohype:

"Superhero Hype! has learned that the first trailer for Universal Pictures' Wanted will debut in theaters with the studio's highly-anticipated American Gangster next week. "Gangster" was directed by Ridley Scott and stars Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.

Based on Mark Millar's explosive graphic novel series and directed by the stunning visualist director Timur Bekmambetov, Wanted stars James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie, Common, Kristen Hager, Konstantin Khabensky and Terence Stamp.

Wanted opens March 28, 2008."

I cant wait to see what the trailer looks like!

It seems like Wanted will be released in the summer now according to Dark Horizons:

"Universal Pictures has announced that Timur Bekmambetov's film version of the Mark Millar-JG Jones graphic novel "Wanted" has been pushed back from March 28th to a mid-Summer bow on June 27th.

James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Common and Angelina Jolie star as members of a secret society that carries out the orders of fate itself. The flick will now battle it out with Pixar's sci-fi effort "Wall-E" and the Tom Cruise thriller "Valkyrie."

Nikki Rocco, Universal Pictures' President of Distribution, stated that "After an early look at Wanted, we are certain that it fulfills its promise as a stunning, committed, thrilling, eye-popping vision that introduces a bold new narrative. We believe it can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the event titles of the summer and will give audiences a chance to discover a fresh new alternative. We are excited to date the film on June 27."

I picked up the Wanted graphic novel at the weekend and thought it was bloody good.

Haven't seen the film yet, although I understand that it's only based very loosely on the book.
