Wanted

Saw this one, it is very good. I have not read the graphic novel myself but I intend on doing so. I have been told that the story is slightly off from the novel (typically to make it more "interesting" as the excuse) but that did not take away too much overall. Its a good one.

I appreciate most of it was probably green scened and obviously it was digitalised but I dont go looking for this specifically in a film - i sit back, watch and enjoy. Don't think about the behind the scenes stuff too deeply!! The train scene was really the only obvious time I spotted it.

Good film but very, very, very silly! To quote Blackadder, up to a point I had a "willing suspension of disbelief"... bending bullets:p, cars bouncing around like space hoppers:rolleyes:, trains hanging from cliRAB:eek:... but then

along came the exploding rats

after that I lost a bit of respect for the film.

Still a good way to spend 90mins, but like I said, very very silly.

The graphic novel is well worth a read but it is totally different to the film. They only kept the basic plot and a few other bits from the graphic novel for the film. Although I am sure I read that the director wants to use other parts of the graphic novel for sequels but im not sure how true that is!

I just read a review in the NOTW for Wanted in which they gave it 2 out of 5. The reviewer seemed to have a problem with one part of the plot and basically said it didnt matter about what the rest of the film was like as that part of the plot ruined the film. It was the strangest review I have ever read for a film. They also said the film was 15 as well which made me wonder if they actually saw the film before reviewing it!

I think the bit that spoilt it for me was

fate being determined in cloth

I find that just plain silly.

Bending bullets however, are cool :p

Finally got to see this film yesterday - excellent!
I kept thinking how much it reminded me of 'Night Watch' not realising that Timur Bekmambetov had directed. Good to see Konstantin Khabensky have a role in it too. :)

Seen the trailer a few times now. It looks good, sort of a mix of Matrix & Mr & Mrs Smith. I have an immediate issue with the idea of being able to bend bullets like they were footballs, but apart form that it looks fun!

Love it, outstanding fun. I love even more people claiming it's not realistic - it's based on a blooming comic, what do you expect!

Ace fun, some great performances too.

I really didnt want to see this and wasn't too bothered about it, but we got to the cinema too late to see our original choice and ended up seeing it anyway. I went into the cinema all negative and thinking its gonna be crap so I'll probably fall asleep. .....

I'm surprised to say that I loved every minute of it, having James McAvoy to look at helped a great deal.

I have seen many 'Wanted' clips and trailer and I'm not an action movies' fan, but have to admit this one looks great.

Besides, rotten tomatoes rated it 100% fresh. Guess, it maybe a kicking-ass movie then.

Makes me laugh the comments on it being far fetched, so what!
This is one of the best action films I've seen, I love the fact that it's so over the top.
After watching so many so-so blockbuster films, this lived up to the hype and more.
10/10

Saw this last night, as my local cinema only has two screens, and since it's an 18, we'd have to wait a while to see it.

I've been quite excited about this film since I first saw the trailers. I know the premise is pretty far fetched, but when I started seeing four star reviews, I was looking forward to it even more.

So what a dissappointment it turned out to be!!! This was easily one of the worst films I've seen in a long time. Now I love my 'proper' film, but I also love films like Spiderman, this summer's Iron-man and Sunshine from last year. These are the types of film where you have to suspend your belief to enjoy it, which I could do easily, as they were well made films. But this was absolutely dreadful!!!!!

The story was crap, espcially the 'we find out who to kill from a tea-towl part'.

It looked dreadful, as some of the scenes were going to fast that you couldn't work out what was going on. And the Matrixy style slow-mo, freeze-frame, reverse etc, etc, etc was used over and over again.

And the performances were just as bad. Jolie and Freeman were simply on auto-pilot, and hopefully James McAvoy goes back to being an actor rather than a movie-star.

Sadly, I didn't have the sense to walk out the cinema, like four people, who I heard saying as they opened the door, "What aload of crap." Thankfully though, I had brough a paper just before I got to the cinema, so could read that for the last half an hour.

Think I'll need to watch one of the Bourne films tonight to clense my soul!!!
