P.S.: You can also send me a E-Mail: [email protected]
or Cellphone: 505-636-0050 (after 9 PM Mountain-Time only)... I dont have Cricket yet, so my "unlimited Nights" started at 9 PM.
Please send no "SMS" Textmessage either, because I cannot receive them!

if you're just looking for something basic, you should be able to convert something newer over. mms and browsing won't work, but it doesn't sound like you need that. cheers.

Yep.... I found a used Nokia 3588i with www.craytonelectronics.com
for $ 55 incl. Shipping and Taxes... not cheap, but exactly the phone I want/.

All that "New stuff" is mostly Flip/Slider/and swivel.... and every moving part in a phone can mess up (break) more easy than a "Candy Bar" Phone.

I have very good experience with Nokia since over 10 Years, and never had 1 break down or malfunction... thats the reason I stay with them.

I had a Motorola Candybar Phone and it was only trouble after trouble after Trouble (mostly the chargers and battery)...

They even have a Nokia 5170 for $ 10 on Ebay, but that Model is a little bit too outdated though...
the 3570 and the 3588 are excellent phones with all you need:

Calender, alarmclock, T9 Textmessaging....good display, good battery,
easy and reliable Chargers.... good reception

.

yep... The Nokia Phone, which I had purchased and ordered over Crayton Electronic works great!
It's like brandnew!
The activation was no problem at all!
I just called the service provider, matterfact in my case it was not directly "Cricket", but an affiliate of cricket "Jumpmobile" www.jumpmobile.com
and the activation was done within minutes!
Just dial *228 for the activation, thats it!

as far as I found out, the phone neeRAB to be flashed!

Any "Verizon" and "Alltel" as well as "Sprint" Phone can be flashed and converted over into a "Cricket" Phone!

It is important, that the phone is on the CDMA Network.

As soon as the phone is flashed and converted into a Cricket Phone,
it MUST connected to Cricket Customerservice, as soon as 611 or *611
is dailed,... that feature 611 and *611 is also available and a very good way in prooving, if a (flashed or converted) Phone can be used for Cricket!

Another good way is, to contact Cricket www.mycricket.com and give them the ESN Nuraber (11 digits) to get verification there.

To flash a phone cost about $ 25.oo to $ 50.oo nad I like to find out by myself, how that can be done!

If somebody has any Ideas & tipps or questions about Cricket phones,
you're welcome to contact me at 505-805-7827

Greetings
Marc
