I really don't want to elaborate, but I have been feeling like an addiction could be just around the corner, and I don't want that to happen. I need a place to go to keep it from happening. I have been taking opiates every now and then, but I will not experience withdrawals. I do find myself having cravings for them. I have had some life changes lately, positive changes, and I believe that they will help me to get back on the right path. So if you don't mind, I might hang around a bit. I've been lurking for months and am familiar with many of your stories.

Hello Tigerette,

Welcome to the boarRAB, pleased to meet you :)

Feel free to tell us your story, or continue lurking until you are ready. Whatever you decide, we're here to help.

Sincerely,
emsmom

Thanks so much! I don't really want to go into it now, but I will share something with you, Emsmom. My brother was an addict for probably about 12 years or so. He had been addicted to just about anything you can imagine, but mainly crystal meth and then methadone many years later. Anyway, he successfully weaned off of Suboxone after a year or so on it. He says it's the best thing that ever happened to him. He had been through the withdrawals a million times before, and he says that Suboxone really wasn't any worse. He's been clean off of everything for almost 2 years.

Anyway, he is definitely one very big reason why I want to nip this in the bud before it's too late.

Hi Tigerette,

Take your time :) This is YOUR story so you have the power to decide when...

Just know that we are all here for you when you are ready. Thank you for the info on Suboxone. I'm sorry your brother had to go through it, however I appreciate you telling me that your brother found is wasn't any worse than the other opiates out there :) That is encouraging!

I will wait for your post. I'm here if you want someone to talk to, in the meantime :)

emsmom
