want to read adventure books........?

im a 19 yr old d00d, and dont read that much but need something to do at work. the books i like are into the wild and ghost rider, both personal journey/adventure stories. i prefer if they are fiction though, like stories about road trips or any type of adventure please tell me. thanks!! =)

the Hatchet: I think it may be written by Gary Paulsen but I am not sure. Long story shourt: A boy gets deserted on an island. The spin off to that book is Brians Winter

okay i just have to say this..it is not the Marked Series...it's the House of Night series and i am pretty sure that d00d means dude so i don't think he would be into the whole romance thing.
