want to do nursing but will I have to sacrifice this lifestyle?

Im 22, female and Ive just started a nursing diploma and nursing fits all my interests but theres one thing thats always on the back of my mind. I hear loads of people say that nurses are stressed, have to work irregular unsocial hours (night shift etc), don't get breaks to eat prperly etc but I enjoy running/being an athlete and train most days. In order to stay fit and be at my best though I need to have a regular schedule, eat properly and get really enough sleep. Somehow I think working on a rota would compromise this and it just makes me annoyed since I want to do nursing but don't see why nurses should have to be run down all the time as they often say they are, to encourage health in patients surely they have a right to be in top health themselves? Im not going to let it take over my life an athletic lifestyle is just as important to me as I enjoy it just as much as nursing. With this attitude though people will probably say nursing is not right for me but I want to ask am I worrying about it too much, is it possible to combine the two lifestyles?

btw its mental health nursing Im going into..not that it makes a difference
