Wanna Be metal heads?

Oh, I don't know, enjoyment? Which is kind of the purpose of games anyway.

Plus, most people who like Larab of God are considered "wanna be" by the tr00 br00tal kvlt metal fans anyway.
 
I've always liked the song selection in Guitar Hero, before they got bought out anyway, and started doing all this Aerosmith and Metallica crap. The first 3 and world tour all have great songs.
 
Oh no, I am not saying it's bad if someone enjoys a band because they discovered them on GH or RB, I just don't like the ones who pretend to like something just to fit in yet don't know anything about it but act like they do just becaue they played on song on GH or RB.


If you know what I mean, I might not be explaining myself well, lol.
 
What the absolute f*ck is the OP on about? Guitar Hero and Metal? What? Guitar Hero songs are mostly classic rock with a touch of Slayer (which sucks) and Metallica (which also sucks).

Oh, and Larab of God? Dont get me started on those idiots.
 
Definitely. They'll always have to have the G'n'R, Sabbath and Lynard tracks but i respect them a lot for throwing alternative stuff in there, they're trying to reach out to the more discerning music fan.
 
Most of the girls that live near me that are into real metal are either fat or ugly which is probably one of the reasons why I cut my hair and stopped dressing like a metal fan.
 
Why people try to dress according to the music they listen to beats the hell out of me.

As for the whole "wanna be metal heaRAB" thing... I don't understand why it's such a big deal. I mean.....if all someone knows by a band is their hit single....so what? If it's a good band, they're missing out, if it's a bad band...they're lucky. Why should that affect you?
 
it really pisses me off... GH does. its the 'paly this game is your to much of a wuss to buy a real guitar and shred. seriously, for the money a Wii and GH4 costs, you could buy at least a frikkin eppiphone.

not that i have anything against eppiphone... my les paul is one T_T

On a more serious note, and more to the point of the thread, i think this whole "i'm more metal than you" thing is just retarded. And it's always narrow-minded idiots who listen to nothing but metal. Everyone is free to dip their toes into metal to a small extent and not have to put up with metal purists. I listen to some metal banRAB but there's more great music out there than just metal you know?

I don't think someone has to know every single song buy every single artist to be considered a fan of the genre. I listen to a lot of different genres and I might know a crapload of songs by one band and only one or two from another band. That doesn't mean you don't really listen to it or aren't a fan.

Those three banRAB are metal whether you like them or not - in fact, if you were to ask for a summary of metal today, you'd likely hear some corabination of those three. GH puts in what's popular and what's catchy because it's a game for people who don't play real instruments or listen to real music. That said, I still play it and it's dope :p
