In our words;
Serena and Carter have had some of the subtlest, sweetest build-up I’ve ever seen in a couple,
and that alone gives their relationship some really significant value.
They clearly have extensive history, and it’s been proven that Serena is the only person bad-boy Carter will change for.
He’s so smitten with her, he’s respectful of her, he helps her, and he’s willing to do
what it takes to prove himself to her. Carter can bring a bit of a wilder side
out in Serena, which will be good for her, but he’s also capable of making her a little shy.
They help balance one another out – not to mention that they look absolutely gorgeous with one another.
The fact that they have her grandmother’s approval is very sweet, and it’s precious how he calls her "beautiful".
It’s obvious that they know and understand one another, flaws and all.
What might be best about their relationship is that they are so similar in that they
are both such adventurous, somewhat nomadic people,
but they keep finding their way back to one another.
Maybe they won’t ever truly settle down in a certain place, but they recognize home in each other.
And if that’s not love, what is?

I love Serena and Carter because when they’re together, the world takes notice.
They are THAT kind of couple – charismatic, gorgeous, magnetic – an epic in the making,
bringing out the best in each other. But more than that, Serena and Carter’s bond runs deep.
Together, they truly are complete in a sense that there are no false pretenses.
Everything that they are is laid bare when it comes to each other.
Both of them were “deviants” of the UES at some point in their lives,
but they neither of them are fazed by each other’s past.
Their darker days and the rocky history they share would have destroyed any other couple by now.
For them, the good and the bad times made their connection stronger. This is why I ship them.
Carter and Serena are golden, beautiful in every way that counts.

Serena and Carter may not have had many scenes yet, but they have so many great little moments.
The wink, the giggles at cotillion, the mystery of Santorini.
They have history, and with Carter, Serena can run and hide if she wants to but at the end of the day
he knows her, he'll always catch up with her.
Just like he did in the season two finale. That's the scene that sealed this pairing for me
because we found out Serena had trusted Carter with something important: the search for her father.
Even through all the time that had past, even as they fluttered in and out of each others lives, this still connected them.
I was hooked.

Carter and Serena's romantic relationship was a thing of incredible beauty.
From where I'm standing, I saw a boy who has always been deeply in love with this girl,
and when he finally recognized it, the magnitude of his love for her might have crushed him.
I saw a girl who would have done absolutely anything to have saved this man from his past wrongs
because it was him that had made her truly happy within only several months together,
and who is the only one she every really comes back to. The scene at the end of the sixth episode of the third Season had me in tears.
Between Serena's broken "please..." and Carter's act of sacrifice, leaving to become a better man, for her, for himself,
and to not cause her pain anymore, I was left speechless. Because I have never
seen a couple become that great, layered, and complex within only 6 episodes. It was a joy to watch.

I love these two for about a million and one reasons and the list keeps on growing..Where to start? Chemistry!
When I fall for a pairing chemistry is always an important factor and Carter and Serena have chemistry out the wazoo.
I think Blake's acting is at her absolute best when working opposite Sebastian. It's clear they're comfortable together
and they literally sparkle together. I find it impossible to tear myself away from the tv when they're on my screen, working their magic.
I love how Carter seems to know her like nobody else does. I love how genuinely in love with her he is
and I love that he left to prove not only to her but to himself that he can be a guy who deserves her heart. As for Serena,
I love how she confided in him. I love the way she lights up around him and the way she can always be herself with him.
I can't imagine either one with anyone else. To me these two are IT. They belong together in every single way.
No matter who comes into their lives or who they love, nobody can ever diminish or come close to touching what they had.
They are simply the best.
