I really want to apply for Walnut Hill School this year for Ballet (I'm in 8th grade this year and I want to go there for 9th grade next year.)
I've been dancing Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Modern since 5th grade.
In 5th grade I did 1 hour of Ballet, 1 hour of Jazz, 1 hour of Tap and 45 minutes of Hip Hop per week.
In 6th grade I did 3 hours of ballet, 3 hours of jazz, 2 hours of tap and 45 minutes of hip hop per week.
In 7th grade, I did 7 hours of ballet, 2 hours of jazz, 2 hours of tap, 1 hour of hip hop and 1 hour of modern by week.
This year I am taking 15 hours of ballet, 2 hours of jazz, 1 hour of modern and 2 hours of tap. No hip hop.
I've been on pointe since Janurary 2009 (January of 7th grade.)
I'm 5'1 and 95 pounds.
Will I have a chance of getting in? Also, if I put down under "extracurricular and community activities" that I've done drama club in 7th grade and this year, will it look good? Or not? Since I'm signing up to be a ballet student?
What do they look for in an application that would stand out to them?
Also, when do they start accepting applications for next year?
