Walmart Nokia 2600 question

If it is an unlocked phone. Won't it work anywhere? I put my zip code and it claims it wont work in my area.


Couldn't you put an Airvoice (ATT) wireless or a t-mobile sim and it work?

Any GSM carrier will work, so long as it's either 800Mhz or 1900Mhz, (and have cellular coverage in the area).

if its unlocked then of course it will work anywhere, with any carrier sim card. but they are probably also searching a carrier's service when you put in your zip code, like att for example. so if the carrier that they are bundling the phone with has no service, then it shows up as it wont work. but if there are other gsm carriers in that area then of course it would work on them.
