Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

loved it when gromit is sitting in the dark inside the anti-pesto van and goes to put on the radio to calm himself and the 'bright eyes' themetune to watership down is on the radio
 
I loved all the stuff going on in the background:

The 'SMUG' fridge :D

The Northern version of 'Hello' - 'Ay-up!' :D

A jar of 'middle aged spread' next to the toast on the breakfast table. :D

And funniest, when Mr Wallace loses his clothes, Grommit pases him a cardboard box to cover his modesty - 'FRAGILE - Cheese. WARNING - May contain Nuts' :D :D

Absolutely hilarious! I need to see it again to see if I missed any.....
 
It's a great movie. All round innocence and fun! There are alot of background details that are easy to miss. I know I missed a load of things by focusing on something else on screen.
I was worried that people would have gone off this idea since the likes of Finding Nemo and Shrek have come along, but it's proved that there's still a strong market for this type of animation.

Alot of hard work went into this film and it's certainly paid off. :D
 
I have a 5 year old (well he's almost :p ) and whilst he loves Star Wars Episode I, some stuff scares him. Had to come out of Incredibles early as he was petrified.

Do any of you who have seen Wallace & Gromit think it will be to scary for him?

Did not like it at all, only laughed a few times, can not see what the hype was all over really! I preferred the Madagascar showing before film! Far more entertaining!
 
I saw this last weekend with a close female friend of mine :), brilliant animated film, especially liked the madagascar bit at the beginning. When I went they was a lot of young children there.
 
I am a huge W and G fan, so was worried I wouldn't like a whole film, as I love the shorts.

However, saw it this week and loved it to bits, better than Chicken Run I thought.

Also, I would love to see it again and again just to see all the bits I missed (like the background bunnies faces, etc) :)
 
Its overrated, cliched and boring. And I was really looking forward to this film! Only laughed once or twice :yawn: also predictable who the were thing was. Shrek one and two are ten times better than this tiresome appalling rubbish.
 
There was a short film involving PENGUINS at Christmas before the showings, but it wasn't an advert and didn't involve pigeons. Is this what you mean?
 
I love Wallace & Gromit, I also love being the parent of a young child so I get to enjoy what I could possibly miss otherwise.

Loved the new movie, brought six boys with me and they giggled and nudged each other at all the risque jokes. Well they thought they were. The whole concept as an adult is overwhelming, considering the work that must go into it and the final outcome is perfection.

To one poster, I was so unimpressed with Madagascar, sorry, won't be rushing for Madagascar 2.
 
Finally got to see it yesterday and I honestly think it was the funniest film I've ever seen! :D Thought some of the humour was quite adult, but enough presumably to go over the heaRAB of young kiRAB. I think my favourite bit was the bit with the dogs finding another coin to go in the fairground ride, but loved the 'angry mob supplies', the cheese themed books etc. :D

The whole village set up reminded me so much of the Vicar of Dibley (even had Mrs Cropley as one of the voices).
 
I'm glad I didn't read this thread first, cos there's a massive spoiler about the identity of the were-rabbit, so it was a genuine surprise.

I loved the film, the attention to detail is incredible, especially when you consider that it took a day for three seconRAB of film. :eek:

I saw it friday and the cinema was quite full, and was about 99% "grown-ups" all laughing along, even at the Madagascar short, which was also excellent.



"I think it's arson ... yes, someone's been arson around" :D
