Is WTL coming out in NZ the same date as Australia?

I couldn't wait  I had to get my copy from amazon :D

ETA: Here in Australia they're releasing a 2 DVD (same as the US) plus the soundtrack as a special set.

Hi all! I'm new to this thread
My best friend and I went to the movies the other day and saw Walk The Line and fell totally in love with it! It's one of my favourite movies now... Joaquin and Reese were so good in it and they had such great chemistry! :sigh: The DVD came out yesterday so I'm gonna go and buy it right now!! I'm so happy :D

Made a little fan art, it's alot simpler than what I usually do, but I just felt like it:

 ahh, that is such a sweet picture, thanks for posting it :sigh: beautiful.

My cousin and my other cousins girlfriend is coming over to watch WTL next week :pinkie:

I went to a DVD store yesterday to see if the "A Streetcar Named Desire" DVD had arrived. I had been waiting for it since May, first they told me it would come out 6th June, it didn't arrive so then they said it would come 28th June, still didn't arrive, and when I asked the manager yesterday he said that they didn't have it and that there is only one reserved for a lady who wanted to buy it for her son. I said that I had been waiting for it for a long time, so as an apology he gave me a huge Walk The Line poster for free! My little teenage heart skipped a beat  I love it and am going to put it on the wall tonight :D

I love Joaquin and I love Reese and I thought they did phenomenal work. I'm impressed they wanted to do the vocals themselves and they did a pretty good job.

That said, the film didn't do much for me. Granted, I'm not a country music fan but the other famous musicians seemed poorly cast and the story seemed a little flimsy in spots - jumpy.

Hi  I had never really browsed around fanforum before, and i did, and then I found this thread and I got excited because I love Walk the Line. I have the soundtrack and a book of piano music for the soundtrack, and I'm currently reading Cash: the Autobiography. I just need to save up some money to buy the Special Edition DVD of it, and then I'll be all set.

I did watch it all the way through... Now I have to do that with Titanic. That's going to be a bit harder and longer...

I had no idea there was a thread for WTL. You have no idea how passionate about that movie I have been since I first saw the movie. It's become one of my all time favorite movie.

 That set looks amazing!! I would buy it, just for the cover. :P The dvd's are out here in Europe now too. I really have to restrain myself from buying another copy. I have the US version, but still. :P

My fav scene it probably the proposal and the musical scenes. But every time I watch it, I go: 'this is my fav! No, this is my fav!'

I LOVE this movie. I was so happy when I came out the movies after watching this. Cause nowadays they're making weird movies, it had been a long time before it since I got out of the movies in a good mood. But this definitely made it. I was almost dancing at the cinema room when they were at the concerts and singing. It was exciting. I was really disappointed that it didn't get a Oscar nomination.

I know what you mean! I bought my DVD and watched it within the same week I saw it at the movies, and don't get me started on how many times I watched the extras  I'm gonna watch the movie again with my best friend, and then again with another friend, and maybe one more time for myself

About the extras - I wish they had more behind the scene stuff, like how the actors worked with the music, research and stuff like that... I thought the documenteries about Johnny Cash was great, but I would have liked to see more of making of the movie and working with the actors.... that would have been cool to watch too.
