...take 4 weeks after school starts? Unemployed students can literally fail their courses before they get financial aid. The quarter takes 12 weeks; you have to start school for 4 weeks before you get your financial aid. Financial aid is supposed to help students in need. students have rent to pay, we have bills to pay, Walden is a virtual campus they do not have dorms for students, is it asking for too much to want our financial aid on time to avoid failing classes? And we are talking about a student who has set up direct deposit. One click away, you would think, still no aid. At California States University and other school, the first week after school starts you get your refund check.
What would it take for universities like Walden to understand the student’s needs? Is it because of interest paid to them, or is it just because they don't care about student’s wellbeing?
