w810i camera button problem, way to fix?

I have a strange issue. On the camera button, after it's loaded up, I can press it and the green focus box never comes on. So I'm thinking it may have some hardware problems... but I can press that button to start camera mode, so in some way it's detecting the button is pressed.

Could this be caused by a software problem? Is it a known hardware problem?

it sounds like the button is not recognizing the demand any longer. as of now there are no known issues with that particular device. The first thing i would do is reset the phone. (take out battery while phone is powered on wait 30 seconds and replace) after powering your phone back on try it again. if that does not work i would find out about your warranty.
 
i have the same problem with you guyz but my problem is i have no more warranty i have this phone almost 2 years :( too bad any other alternative way on solving this problem like open the phone :evil:
